Most of the products that contain the proteins used in oral are completely broken down by gastric acid in the stomach or only a little of these proteins can be occured and absorbed in the small intestine. Lactoferrin is also a protein that shouldn’t be out of this process. The pH level in the stomach is very low (from 2 to 2,5) obstruct absorption Lactoferrin in oral.

After many years of reseach, Japanese scientists have found a method that helps Lactoferrin could overcome stomach acid. This method has been patented exclusively in Japan. Lactoferrin is made as a tablet and surrouded by Enteric coating.  This coating was extracted from shellac – entirely natural source, safe for health and help incresease absorption in the small intestin.

Enteric coating is a special technology to protect lactoferrin against pepsin digestion and to deliver a biologically active whole molecule to the site where it is absorbed such as to the small intestine. According to clinical study, the protected Lactoferrin was 167 times more effective (more potent) than the unprotected supplement. The reason is that other Protein products are broken down easily by gastric juices in the stomach or only a little of protein is able to absorb into small intestine in order to transform nutrition.
